“Trail to LaPointe”: A journey across the Northwest Sands through time

The Northwest Sands Ecological Landscape (our “sand barrens”) has been a conduit of travel throughout human history. This presentation will explore the reasons for this and the people who utilized it, as well as the modern initiative to create a Northwest Sands Auto Trail. Geology, ecology, history, and culture interest in telling the story of this fascinating landscape.

The purpose of the History Festival is to provide educational and entertaining programs about Washburn area history. Programs are scheduled four times in the winter and four times in the summer.
This is a collaborative program with the Washburn Area Historical Society. Pases and Seasons Passes available at the door.
