Pamela McNeill, a Winona native now based in the Twin Cities, knew early on that music would be her life, joining her first rock band at 16. Her career has taken her worldwide, including four years as a backing singer for Rick Astley, performing at Royal Albert Hall and on BBC’s Top of the Pops. A prolific songwriter, she has written for artists like Wynonna Judd, Jim Peterik, and Yanni, co-writing his first lyric song, Love is All. Since 1999, she has released eight studio albums, performed at Nashville’s Bluebird Café, and opened for legends like Etta James and Little River Band. Her latest EP, Wave After Wave, was released in 2024, the same year she was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame alongside icons like Prince and Bob Dylan.
