From campfire jam sessions in Barron, Wisconsin to the national stage on NBC’s The Voice, Chris Kroeze has earned his place as one of the Midwest’s most beloved country rock artists. With his signature blend of powerful vocals, soulful guitar work, and small-town charm, Chris connects with audiences through heartfelt originals and fan-favorite covers.
A finalist on The Voice and the most streamed artist in the show’s history, Kroeze’s breakout single “Human” soared to the top of the iTunes and Billboard charts. Since then, he’s played hundreds of shows a year—ranging from sold-out theaters to spontaneous hometown sets—and continues to draw big crowds with his mix of country, rock, and Americana.

Concerts by the Lake are held every Tuesday and Thursday from June 10 through August 28, 2025, at Memorial Park, right on the shore of Lake Superior. All shows are free and open to the public.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for one of the biggest nights of summer music in Bayfield. Leashed dogs are welcome, too!
In case of inclement weather, the concert will move to the Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion. Updates will be shared the day of the show on the Bayfield and the Apostle Islands Facebook page.
