Chequamegon Veterans Center History Speaker Series – German POWs in the Chequamegon Bay area

During World War II, several hundred thousand German prisoners of war were brought to the United States and worked on farms across the country, many of them here in northern Wisconsin. Come listen to a presentation by a local historian Pam Lutz Ekholm as she talks about her research into German POWs held right here in the Chequamegon Bay area. Free historical presentation held at the Chequamegon Veterans Center next Tuesday, 7/15/25 at 6pm. The program will be about an hour in length, to include a question and answer session.
