Brewing Knowledge: Coffee, Community, Wetlands & Wildlife

August 16, 2025 @ 9:00 am 11:00 am

A collage of images featuring a forest boardwalk lit by golden sunlight, a wooden pavilion with picnic tables, a sign reading “Beaver Hollow – Friends of the Smith Pines Creek Wetlands,” and a white mug with the words “Boreal Forest Citizen” printed on it, with pastries blurred in the background.

Mark your calendars! On August 16th from 9AM-11AM join your neighbors from Brickyard Creek for gourmet coffee “on the road” at Beaver Hollow as we meet with the Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands.

You will learn about the organization’s actions to protect a beaver wetland, and how they are proactively addressing the simultaneous challenges of a warming climate and an imminent Emerald Ash Borer infestation.

We’ll discuss how they are utilizing the Beaver Hollow facility to educate people about wetlands and to provide a close-to-home venue where everyone can connect with the natural world.

Sip gourmet coffee, enjoy tasty treats, and take in thoughtful discussions about our local environment with your neighbors and friends at Beaver Hollow. All are welcome!
