WDNR bird expert Ryan Brady will share some of birds’ amazing feats, highlight threats to populations, and share practical ways we can all help. Learn what makes the Chequamegon Bay area among the best in the state for birdwatching, and meet some of the special species that reside among us. Along the way, discover the power of birds to entertain, inspire, and bring lifelong joy.
Ryan Brady is a Conservation Biologist for Wisconsin DNR based out of Ashland, where he leads various bird monitoring, education, and conservation projects. Native to eastern Pennsylvania, he came to Wisconsin via Northland College in 1995. He has studied the birds of the Chequamegon Bay area for nearly 30 years, and after all that time, still can’t tell you what his favorite bird is!
