We have built a beautiful community of singers in our 3 years of existence\, supporting each other and building meaningful connections. We welcome people of all ages\, with any vocal range or ability. Participants do not need to identify as queer to participate; allies are welcome as well. The choir is directed by Vincent Schueren and accompanied by Sean VanZeeland.

SUMMARY:Blessing of the Fleet
DESCRIPTION:History comes to life with the traditional Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony on Sunday\, May 31\, 2026\, at 1:00 p.m.\, as commercial fishing boats\, tugs\, powerboats\, sailboats\, excursion crafts\, kayaks\, and rowboats parade through Bayfield’s City Harbor. As they pass by the tip of the pier\, clergy from the Apostle Islands community will grant each vessel a blessing for safe passage and a prosperous season on Lake Superior. \n\n\n\nAll boats in the Chequamegon Bay area are invited to participate in the ecumenical service and Blessing Ceremony. The service begins at 1:00 p.m. in Memorial Park. From there\, the clergy proceeds to the City Dock to begin the Blessing of the fleet. All are welcome at this event. \n\n\n\nBoaters with questions concerning participation in this historic parade should contact the Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau at (715) 779-3335.

They had a weekly gig through out one fateful summer and decided they had found what they were meant to do. The two took their show back home to Duluth\, MN\, on the shores of Lake Superior where they have been performing regularly ever since.They took on a few more band members\, recorded an album\, had a couple name changes\, but it has all led them to become… Feeding Leroy\, living a simple life\, playing tunes around the country and finding inspiration along the way. \n\n\n\n“Boss Mama” Colleen Myhre has connected with a loose band of hard-rocking desperados and dubbed them the Jebberhooch.  Together\, Boss Mama and the Jebberhooch put out dusty\, dirty\, gritty blues that rumble across the stage like a beat-up sedan over a Mississippi Delta dirt road.  Their sound is a shake-and-baked helping of country soul\, blood harmony and deep groove funkiness.

DESCRIPTION:Make Music Day is a free celebration of neighbors going outside and making music as part of National Make Music Day. This day of music is open to musicians of all ages\, abilities\, genres\, & experience. Beginning in 1982 in France as a national holiday known as “Le Féte de la Musique\,” this event has grown into a worldwide event. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to participate please fill out this form and return it to events@coawi.org with the subject line: Make Music. \n\n\n\nWe are accepting applications from businesses as well as individuals who would like to either host a band/performer or would like to select a spot to play music somewhere within the City limits. We highly encourage individual musicians or groups to occupy street corners and parks and play your music or sing your songs. But first\, we need for you to register with us. All music for International Make Music Day is to be free and open to the public\, so ticketed events or events with a cover charge will not be allowed as part of the day’s events. \n\n\n\nLet’s get ready to make some music!
